Degarrin provides its members with a seminary program that offers several different theological degrees.  All members are required to complete the program through the Master's Degree level.

Some of the topics discussed include the Degarrin Tradition, parapsychology, religious tolerance, ethics, psychic sciences, magickal arts, paranormal phenomenon, wellness, organization, time management, communications, and general personal development.

The program is a system of coursework that includes on-line and correspondence learning, workshops, seminars, group process, and one-one mentoring.  A member's progress is assessed through status reports, exams, parochial counseling, performance appraisals, and group attunement.  Upon successful completion of the program, each member is eligible for advancement within the Coven.

Degarrin extends membership opportunities to interested individuals who are best suited to our Coven environment; this is based on demonstrated ability, experience, training, and compatibility with other members of Degarrin.

Those interested in membership must be at least eighteen years of age, local to the Lexington KY area, available for weekly meetings, capable of obtaining needed materials and supporting the Coven, willing to volunteer assistance to the community, and able to devote a minimum of ten to thirteen hours per week for studies for the required Seminary program as well as all other activities.

In addition, prospective members must not smoke, chew tobacco, or partake of any recreational drugs. Degarrin finds these items to not only be harmful to the user, but also to people in the immediate vicinity and the environment.  As such, the Coven has determined that the use of tobacco and/or recreational drugs is in violation of Degarrin's Rede and Virtues, and cannot be supported.

In order to maintain the legacy of Coven, members must enter into a concession agreement with Degarrin to contribute labor, time, service, or monies in exchange for offsetting Coven expenses.

Anyone who wishes to join the Coven must first go through a petition and interview process. This procedure provides an opportunity to assess the candidates' potential and overall compatibility with the Coven as a whole.   If you would like to learn more about becoming a member and/or wish to fill out a Membership Petition, please contact us.
